Bounty Showdown: The final table
It's the final table of the bounty shootout, and the ten players remaining are locked in a tense battle to become champion. The first player out is eliminated, and the others are quickly whittled down until only two remain.
The first player to go is Bill, who goes all in with king-high and is called by John with a pair of queens. The board comes up clean, giving John the pot and eliminating Bill from the tournament.
Next out is Alice, who has been slowly bleeding away chips throughout the tournament. She pushes all in with jack-high and is called by both Tom and Luke with pairs of kings and aces, respectively. The board comes up unsuited, giving Tom the pot and eliminating Alice from the game.
That leaves nine players remaining: John, Tom, Luke, Leslie, Sherry, Gary, Peggy, Steve, and Jeff. They continue to battle it out until only three remain: John, Tom, and Luke.
John is first to go Down to only one chip left! He pushes all in preflop with king-queen suited and gets called by Tom's pocket aces. The board comes up clean again and John is eliminated from the tournament.
That leaves Tom and Luke battling it out for the championship. They each have around 100 chips left. The first hand sees Tom raise preflop and Luke call. On the flop of 5 7 9 , Tom continuation bets but Luke check-raises him all in! Tom fold his hand face up – he had queen-ten suited – leaving Luke as the new champion!
How to play Bounty Showdown
This game is a two-player game in which each player has a deck of cards. The aim of the game is to collect as many points as possible by playing cards onto the table. The first player to reach 500 points or more wins the game.
The players take turns to play cards. A card can be played either as part of a set, or as a wildcard. If a card is played as part of a set, then it must match either the rank or the suit of the other card in the set. If a card is played as a wildcard, then it can be used to match any rank or suit.
A player can only play one card at a time. When they have finished playing all their cards, they draw five new ones from their deck and play continues.
If at any time both players have no more cards in their hand, then the player with the highest-value card in their hand automatically wins the game. If there is a tie, then the game goes to overtime and the first player to play a card automatically wins the game.
The value of each card is as follows:
Ace = 1 point 2-10 = face value Joker = 11 points Queen = 12 points
King = 13 points
The winner is the first player to reach 500 points or more.
